Bring your own keys (BYOK)

Run EmailFunnelAI on your own provider accounts and API keys for full control of reputation, cost, and data.

Last updated July 2, 2026

What BYOK means

Bring your own keys (BYOK) lets you connect your own email and AI provider accounts instead of using the platform default. Your mail sends through your provider, on your reputation and your billing — EmailFunnelAI orchestrates the funnels on top.

Why teams choose BYOK

  • Own your reputation. Sending happens on your dedicated provider account, isolated from other customers.
  • Control cost. Pay your provider’s rates directly — often dramatically cheaper at volume, especially with Amazon SES.
  • Keep your data close. Credentials and sending stay in accounts you own.
  • No lock-in. Switch providers whenever you like without leaving the platform.

Setting up email BYOK

  1. Create or open your provider account (Postmark, SES, Brevo, Resend, SendGrid, Mailgun, or EmailIt).
  2. Generate an API key with sending permissions.
  3. In Settings → Email, add the provider and paste the key.
  4. Verify a sending domain on that provider.

Your API keys are stored encrypted and are never exposed back in plain text once saved.

BYOK for AI

The same principle applies to AI generation. Add your own model provider key under the AI settings, and funnel and copy generation will run on your account. If you do not add one, generation uses the platform’s configured model.

Plan availability

BYOK is available on paid plans. If the option is greyed out, check your plan under Plans & billing or upgrade to unlock it.
